Nice seeing you post again.

I like the fake muffin wrap sun and the siamese sisters.

You brushed too hard though and if the siamese sisters were made with Illustrator (you can do it) it would look way cooler.

You can kick me now.

That's great, how giddy they are with their new captive/victim. I love the paper sun. It's burning itself out.

really well done. I'd revise the golden circle (sun/religious i assume?) as the crumpled texture is a bit too intense. Try to achieve a more "gold leaf" effect if you can. see: ancient religious artworks...that has great gold leaf work on them and I think you'd love it.

all in all, very well done.

i agree, a lot of the things i do are heavily influenced by russian icons. the sun actually started out looking just like gold leaf, but i wanted to make it less organic to go along with the artificiality of the theme :)

I'm always interested in allusions to alchemical imagery, this I find particularly fascinating. There are a number of images within not just alchemy but other hermetic schools, where the idea of the twin appears, conveyed through either objects or figures. Often in those examples however, there are differences between each item, and a secret communication is implied through inference. Here however, the twins are conjoined, not just physically but also symbolically. Both with breasts bared, both with similar expressions, both assigned blood halos. There’s something disturbing about that. It’s as if the parallels suggest an imbalance, an abomination of reason that seems to appear in the maniacal grins upon their faces. Gosh, this would certainly make a lovely christmas card.

I said a prayer for this piece. But look, I should have made a wish instead.

Brilliant style. :thumbsup::thumbsup:

Exquisite work. A Kahlo-ish feel, with a modern twist...and no unibrow. ;)

Time away.

Gemini and the sun. A new direction or idea.

Comatosed blue eyed smiles for you.

'What though that light, thro' storm and night,
   So trembled from afar-
What could there be more purely bright
   In Truth's day-star? '
